Team Romania Report #1

Dear Firewheel Church Family,

Thanks for standing with us in prayer during this mission to eastern Romania! We all arrived in a safe and timely manner – although most of the Dallas e3 team members received their luggage one day late – no big deal really. Great worship services today with our Romanian brothers and sisters in Christ – dedication of the campaign – and training time with everyone. A real highlight was on Sunday evening. Lee and Karen Capenter and Sam Ingrassia (and a few other e3 campaigners) went out to the village of Rediu where Bethlehem Church was being dedicated! What a great celebration! The Mayor of the town came to participate in the dedication of an evangelical church – something highly unusual to happen given the Orthodox context. The service was 2 hours long – it was a tremendous time of celebrating what God has done to start this church in the village of Rediu. (See a few attached photos) The campaign is well organized between our 2 host churches – Holy Trinity and Emanuel – our translators and co-workers are ready! On Monday morning, we will be heading out across the county to share our testimonies and the gospel in multiple communities where the church planting and strengthening work is the focus. Remember as you pray for us we are 8 hours ahead of Dallas time! Don’t underestimate the role you play half way around the world in interceding for this outreach. We are thrilled to know our church family is really ‘on the same team’ with us!

Thanks Pam and Dave! We really appreciate your prayers! We've just finished our 2nd day of evangelizing... We're split on 3 different teams - and when I ask how everyone is doing, they all respond with "great". It's exhausting work, but it's so rewarding at the same time. God is good!
