The past 2 days have been absolutely mind boggling experiences! I never knew people could be so open and receptive to what anyone wanted to tell them. This place is SO different from home and i am SO grateful for a roof and toilets that flush. On our 1st day out in the field (Saturday) I was really, really nervous when we got to the 1st house we were going to. But then when I started talking to the lady my nerves calmed instantly and I was very excited. That day half my team ( me, Sheila Roper(Ohio) and our translator, Marieanna) lead around 15-20 people to Christ! That night, at the church we were working with, they were showing the movie Facing the Giants in Spanish. At 7:30 they stopped the movie and had everyone share our testimonies. Then we went back to the hotel. Peruvian food is really good!
Today at church they had me speak to the youth group before their lesson. I shared my testimony again, told them about my family and about our trip to Peru. One of the best moments of the day was when we were going around the town doing some follow up meetings and praying for people we met on the street. We stopped in a store to tell a little girl about a childrens church party we were going to have tuesday night. The lady running the store asked us what we were talking about and i shared the cube with her. After she prayed to recieve Christ she told us that a Jehovah's Witness had been visiting her alot lately but she didn't feel that what he was telling her was the truth. She said today she was going to decide if she was going to start going to the Jehovah's Witness church and God saved her from a bad mistake. It seems all week God has been leading us to the right places at exactly the right times!

Emma, thank you for sharing the answer to our prayers- your team has been prayed for at church, in our homes, at work, and even the softball fields!!! Through "ordinary" people God can do extraordinary things! You are a vessel for His love and purpose, so keep your eyes focused and heart in tune with Him and He will keep guiding accordingly. Praise Him, Praise Him!
