Report #1 from Barranquilla

A report from one of our team members:

God allowed us to have many divine appointments today. He is moving mightily and clearly here in Colombia. It is such a privilege and so humbling that God allows us to see a glimpse of His work here. Everyone is doing well and enjoying serving here! We began the day with a great time of worship and prayer. It is so helpful when you are anxious that the time in prayer helps to put the focus back on Him instead of being nervous. When we got to our barrio, Ernest prayed over our Firewheel team and nationals before we began evangelizing, and everyone was very fired up afterwards!!

This afternoon Ernie, Kim and I were in the same group. Ernie was translating for us. The first several homes that we came to, no one was home or at least they were not answering the door. Then we met a young woman who had been watching a program on tv about salvation but she didn't understand what salvation meant. So she had just turned on a christian radio station to try to learn more and then we came to the door. She was so happy we were able to help her understand. It was incredible and totally God ordained. Then we moved one house down and basically stayed in about a 30 foot distance for 2 and 1/2 hours. The people were coming to us. We would witness to someone and they would go get their neighbors. People were coming out of the houses where when we went by earlier they didn't answer the door. It was so exciting and amazing! We were in awe of how God moved this afternoon!

I know Robert, Gary and Ernest also had great experiences. I unfortunately don't have a lot of details on one of their stories. I know that one of the houses that Robert visited, that the 2 ladies that he spoke with came and found him later so that he could also share with one of their daughters. I can ask Robert to send you an email tomorrow if you would like.

Sam has challenged us to rephrase the question that we ask at the end of the presentation. The question is now..."If you were to die today, and God asked you, why should I allow you into heaven, what would you say?" The new twist on the question, instead of just asking if you know you will go to heaven, has made a big difference. - Amanda Ramirez

"Now to HIM who is able to do exceeding, abundantly beyond all that we can ask or think, according to the power that works within us"! Praise God for what He has done already! Praying for your health - and for many more to come to know Jesus because of how God is using you in Columbia.
Cowboys won (just in case you didn't hear... and Romo's out for the rest of the season... just kidding - wanted to make sure you were still reading!).
Have a great rest of the week... leading others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
