The Time Has Come

To attempt to summarize the experience of the past week would be impossible. Everyone has story after story after story of how God is moving through Timisoara, the five surrounding villages, and throughout the entire country. We have been privileged and humbled to be a part of an awesome spiritual wellspring emerging in Romania as visitors from America working alongside some of the most persevering and courageous souls in the world.

Pastor Daniel Cocar of Golgotha Baptist Church (who spoke to all of us Wednesday morning) had spoken on another one of Jesus’ teachings that reminded us of our first and foremost mission. It wasn’t hopping a plane to a foreign country to share “the cube.” Nor was it witnessing to your neighbors in the States at the grocery store. But rather it was Jesus’ answer to the scribes question found in Mark 12:28-31, “Which is the first commandment of all?”

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. When you make this commandment your personal mission, every priority in your life aligns with God's priorities. From this perspective you will make the right decisions, take the right actions, and live a life shining the Light of Truth into a dark and desperate world.

After tearful goodbyes with our new Romanian friends, we (those of us from Firewheel Church) are currently in Munich, Germany as we begin our trek back to the States. Friday night’s victory and celebration service, held at Golgotha Baptist Church in Timisoara, brought together everyone involved in our campaign. This week, nearly 300 people converged on the city, five surrounding villages, and made over 1,500 presentations of the Gospel of Jesus. 641 people are on record as accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Praise God!

But the work is still just beginning here. Continued prayers and support are needed. We pray that the Holy Spirit blows stronger - filling their sails - bringing a new fire and passion among the Romanians to bring still more people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
